Every Labor Day weekend, REACH Ministries brings together individuals and families impacted by HIV for a 4-day retreat that feels like a breath of fresh air.
Our Labor Day Getaway is a rare and powerful experience where families rest, connect, and build resilience—free from stigma, isolation, and financial strain.
But this year, the need is greater than ever.
We’ve seen a rise in new families, many facing deep financial hardship, and we’ve moved to a larger venue to accommodate them—all while trying to preserve the safe, intimate, community-centered heart of Getaway.

At REACH Ministries’ Labor Day Getaway, volunteers play key roles in supporting families impacted by HIV. Whether you’re guiding kids through the weekend as a counselor, helping with transportation, or serving as a flexible rover ready to jump in where needed—your presence makes a lasting impact.
We’re currently looking for:

Counselors – support a group of children or teens throughout the weekend

Rovers – assist wherever needed with activities, meals, logistics, and fun

Transportation Volunteers – help families safely arrive and return home
No experience is necessary—just a heart for community and a willingness to serve.

✨ For the first time ever, we’re offering sponsorship opportunities for our Labor Day Getaway—and we’re doing it with intention.
Our retreat is not a vendor fair or promotional space. It’s a sanctuary. That’s why we’re partnering with organizations that share our values and want to make a real difference in the lives of our families.
