Are you interested in making an impact on the life of someone living with or affected by HIV/AIDS? All programs and activities are intended to bring our mission to life by providing opportunities for healthy relationships and hopeful futures – all in a fun and safe environment.
These volunteer positions have direct contact with members of the REACH community. Because of the crucial need to protect the confidentiality of our participants, training, confidentiality contracts, and background checks are required for all volunteers.
Are you ready to lend a helping hand? We’re in need of volunteers to provide transportation for families to our events. If you have a reliable vehicle and some spare time, your assistance could make all the difference. Our destinations are usually within 1-2 hours from Tacoma. It’s a simple yet impactful way to support our community. Join us in making sure everyone can participate in our activities without transportation barriers.
Seeking outgoing and joyful individuals! Join us at our getaways where you’ll wear many hats. You might spend time with a group of kids, lead a craft activity or fun game, or help decorate for a themed night. The Spring Getaway commitment is 2 nights/3 days, and the Labor Day Getaway is 3-nights/4-days.
Calling all hobbyists and talents! Join us as we host monthly small gatherings for our families. Do you have a special skill or interest you’d love to share? Previous gatherings have included wreath making, cookie decorating, and even a nutritionist-led class. Whether you’re a painter, musician, chef, or have any other creative flair, we welcome your ideas and enthusiasm. Let’s continue to create memorable experiences and foster community connections together!
REACH mentoring is an ideal opportunity for those who excel in personal one-on-one interactions. REACH mentors are Christian adults who commit to spending one-on-one time with a REACH mentee for one year, with the option to continue. Through frequent outings, conversations, texts, and check-ins trust and friendship is formed. This kind of presence can make a huge difference in the life of a person burdened by HIV stigma. Plus, building the friendship is a lot of fun! REACH provides the training, screening, and support for these matches.
Are you eager to gain firsthand experience in the operations of a small nonprofit? Look no further – join us!
